Art on Film -- A. E. Freudeman apartment sketches for On the Road to Singapore (Victor Schertzinger, 1940)

These sketches by the brilliant Deco set designer Freudeman (who also contributed above-the-call of-duty production design for the rest of the film) are enough to provoke Bing Crosby to flee to Singapore with his boyfriend Bob Hope instead of marrying the lovely Judith Barrett & taking his place at the helm of Mallon Shipping. These images were published in 1919 by A.M. Simon, 324 E. 23rd St., New York City, as a group of ten photographs in a "Souvenir Folder" for the German passenger liner, SS Imperator.
